About The Artist…

The landscape
around me has always intrigued me. Whether glimpsed from a
moving car or discovered on a hike, any random group of
trees or weeds holds great interest for me. I start many
paintings on location and finish in my studio at ArtSquare,
using both my memory of the day and photos I took on site. I
am delighted when people discover that they are attracted to
a painting whose location is "just that old field" that they
have driven by countless times without noticing. In addition
to landscapes, I often paint rocks, sticks and just about
anything else that catches my eye. I have been working
almost exclusively in oils for the past 12 years. |
