ALL PARTICIPATING ARTISTS ARE EXPECTED TO:

• Have a body of work in the juried media to show and sell

• Adhere to all deadlines

• Help publicize the Tour by distributing printed publicity materials

• Attend the Artists Information Meeting on March 26, 2012

• Arrange for studio assistants

• Collect and pay sales taxes

• Be at their designated location during the publicized hours of the Studio Tour

• Provide a Door Prize item ($25 - $50 value)

• Ask visitors to complete the Passport Form

• Complete an evaluation at the close of the Tour

IMPORTANT: READ and digitally sign

1. The Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour does not carry insurance to cover your personal property or against personal injury to you, your family and friends, or visitors to the Tour. Participation in the Tour signifies that the Artist agrees to and releases the Western Loudoun Artists Studio Tour Planning Committee member individuals and partnering organizations from any damages to personal property or personal injury sustained by the Artist, helpers or visitors while participating in the Tour.

2. Application materials will not be returned. Submission of your application indicates that you grant the Studio Tour Planning Committee permission to use images you have provided to publicize the Studio Tour and your studio/artwork during the event.

Photo/Images of your work:

Please submit ten images of your recent work:

·         Jpeg, tif or PDF format only (no zip files)

·         Identify each image as follows: last name, first initial and number [Smith, A 4]

Two for print purposes at 1920 pixels (longest size); one must be vertical.  These are the images that will be used on posters, post cards and in the tour booklet.

Eight for web use at maximum 600 x 600 pixels

If you have NOT participated in a past Studio Tour:

                  Two images of your studio (1 interior, 1 exterior)

Email your images to: studiotourwlast@gmail.com following these submission guidelines:

Email subject line: Your name - Image Submissions (Ex: Liz Hall - Image Submissions)

Email body: Your name and contact phone number

Title images as follows: Your last name, initial of first name, number. (Ex: Hall, L1.jpg; Hall, L 2.jpg)

Please do not exceed file size of 5 megabytes per photo

Please note that ALL artists will be judged on new work: images must include at least two pieces done in the past year.  If you need help photographing your work, please contact the Planning Committee for a list of professional photographers—your work will be juried based on the submitted photos.

Images must be received by the application deadline to be eligible for jury consideration.

Deadline for Applications, Images and Fees: February 1, 2012 – No Exceptions!

 Follow these three steps to ensure your application is complete:   

1. Completely fill out this application form and send by clicking the "Submit" button below   

2. Submit required images via email to studiotourwlast@gmail.com    

3. Submit your application fee of $75.00* on-line safely and securely via PayPal, or by check made payable to Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center (FoFPAC.)

* Note: $50 will be refunded if you are not selected as a Tour participant.
