Penny
Hauffe's interest in art started in her toddler years, painting shoes on her
bare feet and clothes on her toy bunny. Years and years and years later, having
studied classical fine art and illustration in England, apprenticed to Roger
Barcilon, (1993-1997), Penny has now established her own studio in Northern
Virginia. Her bunny paintings have improved greatly.
Her first love in painting is portraiture, both of animals and people, followed
closely by a burgeoning enjoyment of mural work. Goodstone Inn in Middlesburg
houses one of her larger hunt murals and Leesburg Station Auto Wash sports a
five wall tribute to trains in historic Loudoun. Many of her canvases can be
viewed at her painting and teaching studio in Leesburg, VA and on her website,
