Artist's Statement

As an artist, my journey began with a love for the beautiful places around the world that I was fortunate enough to visit growing up a child in a military family. Moving often, I found inspiration in the stunning landscapes and scenic vistas around the world. My mother was also a palette knife painter, and watching her sparked my fascination with texture, and using a palette knife felt like a natural choice when I started my own artistic journey. Using palette knife and impasto techniques, I craft thickly layered compositions that reflect the natural world—sun-drenched fields, serene shorelines, and luminous skies. Each painting is a blend of deliberate strokes and spontaneous movement, balancing boldness with harmony, texture and tons of color. Through my art, I hope to offer moments of reflection and joy, inviting viewers to connect with the beauty and serenity of the world that surrounds us.

Sunlit Happiness
In the painting "Sunlit Happiness," the tranquil beauty of lavender and sunflower fields unfolds before your eyes. I loved capturing the vast expanse of purple hues as they stretch as far as the eye can see, evoking a sense of peace and calm.

Wild Hearts Free
"Wild Hearts Free" is a celebration of the untamed spirit I see in joyful horses. I wanted to capture that moment of pure freedom when they run with abandon under an endless blue sky.
