Artist's Statement
Being an Artist was never a decision, it’s part of my DNA. My practice moves fluidly between photography, soft pastel and ceramics, each medium informing the others. Photography captures moments of beauty as I travel and enjoy the outdoors, serving as both documentation and discovery. Soft pastel captivates me with its rich, saturated colors and the intimate directness between hand and surface. Ceramics became another canvas, offered new possibilities for painterly exploration in three-dimensional space. What connects these practices is curiosity about the world and a desire to translate what moves me into visual form. Each medium transcends to the next, images captured with my camera become insperation for paintings; a photograph might inspire an entire body of work. This cross-pollination keeps my practice vital and evolving, always in conversation with the natural world that first taught me to see.
